AminoPin

Terms of use

Last updated 11 October 2026.

These terms are an agreement between you and the developer of AminoPin (“the developer”, “we”). They apply together with Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple’s licence”), which grants your licence to use the app. These terms add the rules that are specific to AminoPin. If these terms and Apple’s licence disagree on a point Apple requires, Apple’s licence controls that point.

AminoPin shows these terms when you first open it. By tapping Agree, you accept these terms, Apple’s licence, and the privacy policy, which describes how the app handles your information. Using AminoPin, or starting a trial or purchase, also means you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. You must be 18 or older

AminoPin is for adults. You may use it only if you are at least 18 years old and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live. By using the app you confirm that you meet both conditions. The app is not intended for, or directed at, anyone under 18. If you are under 18, do not use AminoPin. You will not let anyone under 18 use the app on your device.

2. What AminoPin is, and what it is not

AminoPin is a personal log and a calculator. It keeps records you choose to enter and does arithmetic on numbers you type in, such as the units to draw on a syringe for a dose you entered. Any result is that arithmetic and nothing more.

Half-life figures, dose arithmetic, volumes, and reminders are estimates. They depend on what you enter and on general published figures that do not describe you. Units are easy to mix up, including milligrams, micrograms, IU, millilitres, and syringe units. Any output can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong, and a result is never a prescribed dose. Check every figure yourself before you rely on it.

Names of medicines and compounds appear in the app only so you can label your own records. AminoPin is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the companies that make or sell them, and it does not sell or supply any of them.

3. Your responsibility

You alone decide what to enter in AminoPin and what to do with anything it shows. You are responsible for reading the label of every product you have, for confirming units and amounts, for following the advice of your clinician, and for complying with the laws that apply to you. A wrong number entered gives a wrong result. The developer does not review your entries, does not know your health, and has no duty to notice a mistake.

Using AminoPin does not create a doctor, pharmacist, or other care relationship between you, or anyone you show it to, and the developer. Do not start, stop, or change any treatment because of the app. Talk to a qualified healthcare professional before you start, change, or stop any substance. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call your local emergency number; do not wait for a reminder.

Reminders can arrive late, early, more than once, or not at all, for example because of phone settings, Focus modes, or the operating system. A reminder is not a medical instruction, and whether you act on it is your decision.

Preparing or using any substance can cause contamination, infection, dosing errors, allergic reactions, injury, or death. To the extent the law allows, you accept those risks for yourself, whether or not you followed a figure from the app and whether or not that figure was wrong.

4. Your licence and how you may use the app

Apple’s licence grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use AminoPin on Apple devices you own or control. In addition, you agree not to:

The app, its design, graphics, and text belong to the developer or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You get no rights in them other than the licence described here. The records you enter remain yours.

5. Free trial, subscriptions, and lifetime purchase

AminoPin offers these options through Apple’s App Store. The prices below are the US prices. In other countries, prices are set in local currency, may differ, and include any applicable taxes. The price shown in the App Store before you confirm a purchase is the one that applies.

The monthly and yearly plans can start with a 2-week free trial if your Apple Account is eligible. Apple decides eligibility, and a trial is generally available once per Apple Account. When the trial ends, the plan you chose begins and Apple charges you, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel in your iPhone’s Settings, under your name and then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. If you cancel, access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.

All payments are handled by Apple, under Apple’s terms. The developer never receives your card number or billing details. Refunds are decided by Apple under Apple’s rules; the developer cannot issue refunds directly. If a price changes, Apple notifies you as its rules require, and you can cancel before the new price applies.

Using AminoPin requires an active trial, subscription, or lifetime access. If your trial or subscription ends and you have not bought lifetime access, the app is locked and reminders stop until you subscribe again. Your records are not deleted: they stay on your iPhone, and in your iCloud Drive backup if you turned it on, and are available again when you resubscribe or restore a purchase.

Lifetime access is tied to the Apple Account used to buy it and can be restored on other devices signed into that account with Restore purchases. It covers AminoPin for as long as the developer continues to offer the app; it is not a promise that any particular feature will be kept forever.

6. Your records and backups

Your records are stored on your iPhone and, if you turn it on, in a file in your own iCloud Drive. The developer does not hold a copy and cannot recover records you delete or lose. You are responsible for keeping any backups you want. The privacy policy explains this in detail.

7. Changes to the app

The developer may update, change, or remove features, or stop offering the app, at any time. Updates may be needed to keep using the app. The developer is not required to provide updates, support, or any particular feature, except where the law requires it.

8. No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AminoPin is provided “as is” and “as available”, with all faults and without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. This includes any warranty of accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The developer does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that a calculation matches a particular product, that a reminder will appear on time, or that following any number or chart in the app is safe.

If the app fails to conform to a warranty that cannot be excluded by law, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price you paid for the app, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding the app.

9. Limit of liability and release

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or related to AminoPin or these terms. This includes any injury, illness, or loss connected to a substance you obtain, mix, measure, store, or use, whether or not you relied on anything the app showed.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer’s total liability for all claims relating to AminoPin is limited to the amount you paid for AminoPin in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or zero if you paid nothing.

To the extent the law allows, you release the developer from claims arising out of your use of AminoPin, your reliance on it, or any substance you track or use, including claims you do not know about or suspect when you accept these terms. If you are in California, you waive California Civil Code section 1542, which says: “A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.”

Some places do not allow certain exclusions, limits, or releases. In those places, they apply only as far as the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence, where the law does not allow that limit, and nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer-protection laws that cannot be waived.

10. Your responsibility to the developer

To the extent the law allows, you will defend and hold the developer harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs brought by anyone else because of your use of AminoPin, the information you entered, a substance you obtained or used, or your breach of these terms. This does not apply to the extent a claim is caused by the developer’s fraud, wilful misconduct, or gross negligence.

11. Ending these terms

You can stop using AminoPin and delete it at any time; to stop paying, also cancel any subscription as described above. The developer may end your right to use the app if you break these terms. When these terms end, you must stop using the app. Sections 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 13, and 14 continue to apply after these terms end.

12. Apple

These terms are between you and the developer, not Apple. The developer, not Apple, is solely responsible for AminoPin and its content, for any maintenance and support, and for handling any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, claims under consumer-protection or privacy laws, and claims that the app infringes someone else’s intellectual property. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.

You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

13. Disputes and governing law

If you have a problem with AminoPin, please email aminopin.support@gmail.com first and give the developer a reasonable chance to resolve it. These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the developer resides, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where a consumer-protection law of the country where you live must apply instead and cannot be waived. The courts of that place have jurisdiction over disputes, except where that same consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in the courts where you live.

14. General

15. Changes to these terms

The developer may update these terms, for example to reflect changes to the app or to the law. When it does, the date at the top changes and the updated terms stay at this address. Minor changes, such as clearer wording, apply from that date. If a change is material, the developer will tell you in the app before it applies and ask you to agree to the updated terms. If you do not agree, you can stop using the app and cancel any subscription in your iPhone’s Settings; the earlier terms continue to apply until your current paid period ends.
